Kokichi Muta / Mechamaru
At some point during his youth, Kokichi made a request that his parents be told he died, which was granted even though he was very much alive. He didn't think they needed to deal with the heartache of his condition any longer.
His condition was severe - His skin was mottled and scarred, and unable to withstand sunlight or moonlight without burning and causing severe pain. His right arm never developed properly, making it seem as though it was amputated at the elbow. Both of his legs were too weak to support his weight, and he had no feeling from the waist down. He suffered through chronic nerve pain, an inability to taste things that weren't strong enough to override his dulled tastebuds and he was constantly on life support, hooked up to a machine to keep him hydradated and nourished.
Intelligent, he spent most of his time studying various things and fell in love with mecha anime, which is why his puppets have all taken on the forms of mechs or robots. When he reached high school age he was permitted to attend classes at the school through his proxy, Ultimate Mechamaru. This gave him the experience of having peers and making friends at long last. He even fell in love with Kasumi Miwa, someone he became close to. It was this comraderie that pushed him hard to look for any solution at all that would let him leave his room as his friends were not permitted to visit. He wouldn't have wanted them to. He realized he wanted nothing more than to walk up to his friends in person and meet them properly and he was willing to do anything to have that piece of happiness, even if it ended poorly.
It was then that he threw his lot in with pseudo-Geto and Mahito, forming a Binding Vow that they fix his body through Idle Transformation and he would feed them information from their side. The stipulation was that they leave the Kyoto students alone. The other side broke that stipulation, and so Kokichi called in the Vow.
Kokichi was not entirely naive. He knew that there was only one way this could go. They would restore him and attempt to kill him. What he hadn't counted on was their counter measures to ensure he could not communicate with the outside world. It was not a coincidence that the authorities were closing in on his involvement. He thought that his slightly sloppy mole work and the commotion of the battle would be enough to draw Satoru Gojo's attention, gaining him a much needed rescue, since the veil prevented him from contacting anyone by phone.
It did not.
Kokichi Muta fought bravely, but ultimately died by Mahito's hand without ever experiencing anything he wanted to. He died a criminal, his name forever tarnished in the world of Jujutsu society.
Using his proxy Mechamaru to interact with the world around him, Kokichi builds his relationships that way while being locked away in his own private space. Powerful in a way that can rival a special grade sorcerer in the right circumstances, he did all of his work through the use of his puppet corpses.
And yet, he would give it all up in a heartbeat for a chance to walk among his peers like an ordinary person. It was this drive that led him to be one of the moles in Jujutsu society, feeding the enemy information and selling out his peers in the name of a better future.
He just thought he had it under control. He didn't.
Physical Attributes Initially, Kokichi will have slightly pointed teeth and nothing else. When he gets overwhelmed/over emotional, his fingernails elongate into claws and horns appear to grow out of his head, twisting and curling like a spiral. The transformation ends with a thin pointed tail. The consequences of manifesting these traits will last a few hours (unless he learns to control it).
Non-physical Qualities He will be able to see in the dark, have quicker reflexes, and sense danger approaching.
Reasoning Kokichi's actions and reasoning can be understood as his desperation grew, his actions were almost entirely self-serving. He was acting to get out of a terrible situation, yes, but it was only for his own benefit. He was willing to sell out his allies and the people he cared about to get what he wanted. While he definitely had ultimately good intentions - he definitely was not acting in an altruistic way. Whether or not he would've redeemed himself, we'll never know due to his quick demise. He was naive and he thought he could handle the consequences, so he was also some level of arrogant. He was just wrong, and he got played. He knew that people might not forgive him, but he did it anyway.
